Petcurean - Go! Dog Food

You guys know how much I love my fur babies and how much they love helping me to review pet products. Well, they got the chance to be helpers again today. And what a beautiful day it was!

Petcurean sent me three types of dry and one can of wet food from their line of pet food called GO! This line of food is rich in proteins and in fact, the first ingredients listed are meat and vegetables! More meat and veggies means more essential omega oils and less grains to help your pup stay healthy and their coat shining. You're not going to find any wheat, corn, or soy in these foods!

The Petcurean GO! line has three types recipes depending on your dog's specific needs.

The Fit + Free recipes have the most meat with zero grains or gluten. The first six ingredients are meat!

The Sensitivity + Shine recipes are good for dogs with food sensitivities or special diets and are made with select ingredients.

And the Daily Defence recipes are nutrient-packed for preventative care in all life stages. They contain high quality meat proteins, antioxidant-rich fruits and veggies, and essential omega oils.

We were sent samples from the Sensitivity + Shine line since my three dogs are of varying ages and are far past the puppy stage. The Duck Recipe contains de-boned duck, peas, tapioca, lentil, and chickpeas to name a few ingredients. It also contains calcium, omega 6 &3, and antioxidants to support immunity and is acceptable for all life stages. Oh, and it is grain and gluten free and contains no potatoes! There are no by-product meals, added growth hormones, or artificial preservatives.

The other recipes we received were the Salmon Recipe and Venison Recipe. Each one has the same benefits as the Duck, but with a different protein. And each is equally delicious, according to my product testers.

Last but not least they tried the Grain Free Duck Pâté. This food is perfect for all life stages and as you can see, was a big hit with Jack and Mollie. And I'll let you in on a little secret, Jack is so picky! Normally he won't even try the dog food I get let alone let me take his photo eating it, so they really loved this food. And best of all, I had no fears of feeding them something new because the food is made with premium duck (I don't even get duck) and has probiotics to aid in digestion. It is also full of antioxidants and omega oils to keep their skin and coat healthy.

Even little Trinity wanted to help out with the product testing today!

Not only do I love the ingredients list on these foods, but the packaging made me smile. You get to see someone else's happy fur baby and even their name with each bag! Seriously scroll back up, look at Twizzle, and tell me you didn't smile. You can't do it!

And don't worry all you cat lovers! They offer kitty food as well! Check out the cat food GO! line HERE!

Look at them go!

Petcurean products are sold at many retailers and they have a spiffy store locator available HERE! Keep in mind that prices will vary from store to store. You can also find an online retailer if there isn't a store close by or you are just a home body like me.

Look, you want to give your pets food that will keep them healthy so they can keep on making you smile, so why not give them a food that will not only keep their tails waggin' but is also full of yummy proteins? They'll thank you the best way they know how...with puppy kisses and a new window nose art masterpiece!

Oh, and don't forget to check out Petcurean on their social media pages!

Kay's Naturals - Protein Rich Meals

e5c8c5e4
So, I don't know if you guys know this, but I try to stay away from gluten. I say "try" because I haven't been doing that well...but when I AM sticking to my diet that means no bread and no pasta and no happiness. The worst thing about dieting for me is that when I do indulge my cravings, I always feel terrible afterward and that makes me depressed and that makes me snack even more. Well, I have found a company that offers gluten free, delicious foods so that I can snack without hating myself. No more vicious cycle!

Kay's Naturals offers foods that are perfectly balanced in protein, carbohydrates, fiber, and healthy fats. They are all natural, vegetarian friendly, and gluten-free as well as low calorie and down right scrumptious!

Yay for puffs!

Cookie bites, chips, pretzel sticks, and snack mixes! OH MY!

I like to snack on salty foods and it is far too easy to walk over to the pantry and eat 1/2 a bag of chips. Kay's Naturals has chips and all sorts of salty snacks that feed my cravings. They are packed with protein and fiber so I wind up eating less and they are made with all-natural ingredients. Best thing is...they don't taste like a healthy snack. There is seriously not a single thing we disliked! Oh and did I mention there's only ~1 gram of sugar and ~120 calories per bag? Great, right?

Those of you that have kids...what kind of cereals do they eat in the morning? Probably ones that are loaded with starch and sugars, right? Well, Kay's Naturals cereals don't have all that sugar and they contain 12 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber which is going to keep those little tummies full until the lunch bell rings. They are also free of artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors, and preservatives! There are so many flavors to choose from that even the pickiest of kids will find one they love. My personal favorite was the Apple Cinnamon.

Although I used these for snacking, Kay's Naturals has meal plans. They send you your box of food with a meal plan that totals 1200-1400 calories per day. I was sent the 3-Day Meal Plan and I didn't follow it because I wanted to try each product and share with my family, but having read through the material I can see how this plan would be convenient and leave you feeling full all dayEverything is laid out for you so you don't have to plan a thing and they even give you a shopping list! It is a great way to diet while staying energized and keeping your metabolism in high gear

They also have other products like coffee. We loved the flavor and smell and the fact that they were whole beans. They ground easily and the coffee tasted great!

Kay's Naturals can be found in many stores and they have a handy store locator on their webpage HERE if you'd like to pick up some while getting groceries.

If you're more of an online shopper then head over to their WEBSITE to read up on the company and to get your own tasty treats.

Also check out their blog HERE!

And don't forget to follow Kay's Naturals on social media!

OZ Naturals - Super Youth Eye Gel

Hello readers and fellow bloggers! I hope you had an awesome weekend, especially those of you who got a 3 day weekend.

Today I've got a pretty cool product to tell you about from OZ Naturals. I got this product on Amazon, but liked it so much that I thought I'd showcase it on my blog for you.

OZ Naturals is a HUGE seller on Amazon is another great company that uses natural ingredients in their products. Why put harsh chemicals on your skin when nature already has a gentle cure available? The products are designed to be used on all skin types, even those that are sensitive or have special needs.

Your skin is always visible and having healthy, glowing skin not only boosts your self-esteem, but makes you want to show it off! That's where OZ Naturals can help you. Instead of getting a product that claims to be the best but could possibly make your skin troubles worse, you know you're going to get natural skincare that is going to leave your skin in better, healthier condition after each use.

Not only are the products 100% natural, but they are 75% organic and made in the USA

I have very sensitive skin and I am very picky about what products I use for an extended period of time because I dry out and get blemishes so easily. This product did neither of those things. It didn't even leave a residue on my skin after being absorbed.

One pump of the bottle gives you all the product you need for your problem areas and the product goes on smoothly. There is no harsh chemical smell either.

Like I've stated earlier in other reviews for similar products, I don't have wrinkles or dark spots yet, and I want to keep it that way. This is a product I would definitely consider making a part of my daily regimen because it is all natural, which I love, and because it didn't cause any negative side affects with my sensitive skin. It even reduced the dark circles and puffiness under my eyes (probably from too much late night blogging)!

Although I only tried the Super Youth Eye Gel, OZ Naturals has tons of products on Amazon for all of your particular skin needs. Don't believe me? Click HERE to find out!

You can also get your own OZ Naturals products on Amazon here: http://amzn.to/1NBlqy7

Själ Skincare - Face Products

I meant to do this review on Friday, but I've been doing so many Amazon reviews that it kind of got put on the back burner.

Anyway, here are the samples that I got from Själ Skincare. Normally I lump the little samples into a big "Various Samples" post, but they sent me quite a few different products, so I figured there would be enough to make a post.

Själ Skincare is actually really interesting because they use things like gemstones, pearls, and metals that make you feel like you're getting an ancient healing remedy in a modern way. This is the first line of skincare I've come across that uses these ingredients and they are chosen based on the energies they contain. This leads to products that just feel...balanced. It's a cool mesh of East and West. Pretty awesome, right? I'm a firm believer that nature is healing and that there is no need to include harsh chemicals in products that are going to be used on a sensitive area that is always visible.

Ok, so I did my best at judging an order that made sense to try these out. I don't think you would need to use all of them together daily because some of the products you leave on for 15 minutes. I do want to say that every one of the products seemed to be very gentle and none of them tingled or reacted badly with my sensitive skin.

The first product I tried was the Pearl Enzyme Exfoliating Mask. This is a gentle gemstone enzymatic exfoliating mask that is meant to be gently massaged on slightly damp skin and left on for 10-15 minutes. It contains two pearl extracts to brighten and even skin tone as well as to gently exfoliate and polish the skin. It also contains diamond, ruby, citrine, blue sapphire, and amethyst that assist in detoxifying pores and removing dead skin.

As the mask dried it got a little sticky but lessened as time went on. When it was fully dry it made my skin feel tight but not in a dry or uncomfortable way. It was more of a firm tightness. It came off really easy with warm water and afterward my skin was really soft and smooth. This mask actually removed some dry patches I had due to the winter weather so I was pretty excited about that!

Next came the Kashmir Saphir Perfecting Mask. This one is a restorative, firming, and pore minimizing mask that is meant to be applied to a cleansed face and left on for 10-15 minutes. This mask contains silk proteins, oxygenating herbs, and royal jelly as well as gold, platinum, blue sapphire, and blue copper. It is meant to protect, soften, and calm your skin all while evening your skin tone and increasing its oxygen uptake. Peptides and amino acids also work to lift and firm!

As this mask dried it took on a feeling that I can only describe as a thin layer of plastic on my skin. It wasn't annoying or anything, just an observation I had. It didn't make my skin as tight as the exfoliating mask, but it kept it feeling soft.

The Balans Deep Pore Cleanser is described as a modern version of a deep pore cleanser. It is light weight and keeps skin balanced, hydrated, and soothed thanks to the gold, silver, geranium, rhodonite, and rose quartz. It also detoxifies, minimizes pores, and brightens. The cleanser also helps to protect against moisture loss and irritation throughout the day and leaves your skin feeling nourished.

The first thing I noticed about this cleanser was that it didn't foam, which was a little weird. However, it left my skin feeling very clean. I used this first thing in the morning so I had washed my face before bed, but I felt that everything that had accumulated through he night was gently washed away. It says that this can also be used to remove makeup, so you can use this any time of the day.

The Saphir Concentrate Anti-aging Face Oil is pretty amazing. It is meant to be massaged onto a clean face, neck, and decollete (cleavage area - yes I had to look that up). It should be used under a moisturizer and is excellent for dry skin. The various complexes, blue chamomile, blue sapphire, and aquamarine help to naturally plump and soften fine lines and deep wrinkles as well as help to improve skin smoothness, elasticity, and tone. It hydrates and provides a barrier of protection from moisture loss thanks to the meadow foam seed oil, grape seed oil, and vitamin e.

This stuff was pretty amazing on my dry skin and it was my favorite product in the bunch. I rubbed it into my lips and it kept them moisturized for hours. I really wish I had some more of this. It had a plesant floral scent and wasn't very oily considering it is called an oil

Next up was the Kura Intuitif Intense Hydration Creme. It is meant to be applied after skin has been cleansed and toned. It contains various peptide complexes, lotus oil, gold, copper, and pearl that help to treat deep lines and winkles, improve skin elasticity and tone, reduce capillaries and redness, even skin tone, and provide hydration and nourishment to all skin types.

The creme was very oily at first with a slightly floral scent. It was actually a little too oily for my taste but only because oily products tend to cause me to get blemishes. The glow that it gave me made my skin feel perky and I noticed that after about an hour the oiliness was pretty much gone.

The Orbe Eye Contour Creme is applied day and night around the orbital eye area and can also be used around the lip area if preferred. It lifts the eye area and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fatty deposits, dark circles, and puffiness. This is done with the help of ingredients such as iron, magnesium, zinc, and copper as well as various complexes, vitamin C, and algae extract. Like the rest of the skincare products so far, it also soothes and calms while firming and brightening

The creme was pretty thick which was unexpected and had a very clean smell. That's the only word I can come up with to describe it. It didn't tingle like other eye creams that I've tried and absorbed relatively quick. It also made my skin almost powdery smooth, which was pretty neat.

Last but not least was the Bio-regeneratif Serum Active Energy Lift. This is a serum that focuses on cellular regeneration thanks to peptide complexes and malachite extract. It provides protection, radiance, energy, and helps to even skin tone. It is meant for all skin types and should be applied day and night to a cleansed face and throat.

The serum had a sort of sweet smell to it and absorbed very quickly. There was no residue left over and considering all of the products I had applied that day I was surprised. My skin was left feeling radiant and firm all day.

That was a lot to try out over two days, but I have to say that each product surprised me. Not only did I like the results from just a single use, but I also really enjoyed the colors and textures. You can tell that a lot of care went into these recipes and they will make you feel healthy and beautiful inside and out.

This time I want to tell you about eSalon's The Match-Up box. You get three products per box and you can customize each individual order depending on what you're running low on or what you'd like to try.

When you first make your account you are asked a series of questions about your hair type and styling regimen. Then, you are matched with three great products that will work for you based on your answers. If you'd rather try something else, you can mix and match. Just switch the mode from expert pick to your pick! And just like any subscription box you can change the frequency that you get your deliveries or cancel at any time.

Also, you can add two bonus items to your deliveries and you'll save 25% on each one! There are so many products to choose from based on all sorts of different hair types and needs. Color safe products, volumizing, repairing, smoothing, anti-frizz, straightening, hairspray...the list just keeps going! They even offer brushes and coloring tools as well as eyebrow products.

Before using for the first time
What I love about this service is that it is so personalized! I told them that I have very fine, thin hair that I color and was matched with Big Love Color Safe Volumizing Shampoo, Big Softie Color Safe Volumizing Conditioner, and Get Lifted Root Lift Spray.

The shampoo and conditioner smell so good. I kept sniffing my hair all day. And I didn't have to use but a little bit of each so I don't have to worry about running out any time soon.

The root spray is unlike others I've tried in the past because it didn't leave any kind of residue in my hair, and it also smelled amazing.

The only thing that I don't like about the shampoo and conditioner is that they are so thick that I have a hard time pushing down on the plunger. I wish it was a little easier to get out, but that is definitely something I can live with.

I've been using the products for about a week now and I can already start to tell a difference in the volume that my hair has. I feel like it is healthier and shinier as well.

After just one use, blow dryer and round brush
Each box is $30 plus $4.95 shipping and handling. That is up to 45% off of retail prices (I mean, have you seen how much salon quality hair products can go for?) And if you don't absolutely love each and every one of your products there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You can get your product replaced or get a refund.

Order now and get your first box for $15! Head over to their website to get started!

Dollar Beard Club - Oil, Cream, Balm, and Shampoo

I'd like to take this moment and talk about something new today. The Beard. Ladies, there is no creature on this earth sexier than a bearded man. I'm not talking about the "guys with beards" who shave them into cute patterns and put glitter in them. No, I'm talking about "The Bearded Man". A man who can enter the forest and can, with nothing but his epic bristles, construct you a log cabin with his bare hands.

And the only thing sexier than the bearded man, you ask? A bearded man who takes care of his whiskers. And that's where Dollar Beard Club comes in. They provide fundamental and necessary products to keep that beard healthy, feeling good and smelling great.

They offer a wide variety of products to choose from that offer various levels of hold, shine, and scent. Recently, I was sent a few of Uncut Beard Company's products to try out: a balm, cream, shampoo, and two scents of beard oil (original and sandalwood), as well as a brush and comb.

Now I know what you're thinking: "But Niki...you don't have a beard!". This is true, but my dad does have a pretty awesome man-mane and since we live in the same house it was easy for him to be my guinea pig for this review. (And he really didn't mind either).

Dollar Beard Club is a subscription box (you all know how much I love subscription boxes) that is customizable to the needs of each and every individual beard. You start off by picking your products and the website can help you by letting you in on how much hold, shine, and scent each one has. You control how much you pay each shipment by adding the items that you want and need. Each shipment has flat rate shipping so no matter how many products you get, you're going to have the same low rate for shipping.

So let's take a closer look at the products that I was sent (but keep in mind that there are many more offered on the webpage):

First up are the oils. Like I said earlier, the two scents are original and sandalwood. The original has a woody smell where as the sandalwood is more sweet. Now these ARE oils, so keep in mind that for the first hour or so that beard will be a little oily.

The oils come in two sizes: 0.5 ounces for $1 or 2 ounces for $4. These are fundamental products that are the foundation of your beard care regimen. They are going to have your flavor-savor shining like a fiery beacon...a beacon of awesome.

The next three products are considered to be essentials. The beard balm comes in a 1 ounce tin and has a pine scent to it. My dad really liked the smell of this and it is what he has been using the most of because it has more hold than the other products. He's got a bit of beard to tame, you see. The balm runs $7.

The cream surprisingly had zero residue and gave his beard a lot of body. It comes in a 2 ounce bottle and is $8. This also has a woody scent, however it took on the aroma of coconut once it actually hit his beard.

Lastly is the shampoo which, again, has a outdoorsy, wood scent. It runs $10 for the 4 ounce and $17 for the 8 ounce.

Before

After

After a week of using the products daily, his beard is more manageable, has fewer wild hairs, is softer, and is fuller.  He said "It makes [him] feel like a viking...or a pirate...or better yet a viking pirate!" Can't argue with that.

Dollar Beard Club also has other products for beards that may suit particular needs you're looking to rememdy. They offer waxes with superior hold, body wash to make the skin smell as good as that hedge, growth oil and vitamins for those who need a little help, as well as brushes and combs to keep every hair in check.

Real women love real men and real men have beards. Make sure you have the best one you can by getting your own monthly care box from Dollar Beard Club.

You can order yours today by clicking the links within the post or by clicking HERE to be directed to the website.

You can also follow them on social media:

Various Samples - Part 2

First things first. Follow me on social media using the buttons to the right. Also, click on the featured post right below them to learn how to enter my giveaway.

Morning readers! Today is another day of trying out a few baby samples and giving you my impression of them!

This review actually started last night because I dyed my hair with the Garnier Color Sensation that I got free from a Crowdtap mission.

It's been a while since I've colored my hair and I was glad to get rid of my mousy brown. Crowdtap sent me the 3.26 Deep Burgundy color, which is really rich. It is dark, almost black inside but the red highlights really come out in the sun.  The instructions were pretty straight forward for anyone who has ever dyed their hair at home: pour container B into contain A, etc.

The smell of the dye was not the terrible ammonia smell of yesteryear. While there was a slight slight chemical smell, it was overall pleasant. My mother even said it smelled good, like shampoo, while I was walking around the house. The great thing about his color is that you can use it for all over color or they give you a brush if you just want to touch up roots or grays. It also contains oils to keep your hair silky and smooth.

After dying your hair it is not a good idea to shampoo your hair right after because it can cause the color to fade quicker. You do want to condition, however, (normally with the conditioner that comes with your dye) because it helps to protect your hair after the dye has opened up your hair cuticle.

This morning I used samples of Lasio Professional Hair Care's Hypersilk Replenishing Shampoo & Conditioner and Revitalizing Masque. I was told by Lasio that a one time use would not provide any real effects, but would give an idea of what the product is capable of doing. It is recommended to use this product for 30 days to see full results.

After just one use my hair was very soft and silky. Normally my hair gets dry the day after dying it, but these products seem to have stopped that from happening today.

The shampoo and conditioner both retail for $60 and the masque runs $32.  After 30 days of use you can expect to see boosted shine, softened strands, and a reduced amount of damage.

Next I tried a few products from NUXE Paris.

The Moisturizing Body Lotion is formulated for dry skin and it is infused with Orange Blossom and Almond Blossom petals. It has a powdery smell and a non-greasy finish. My skin feels powder smooth and smells very clean. The lotion is supposed to offer 24 hours of moisture and it retails for $22.

Next I used the First Wrinkle Rich Smoothing Cream. Again this is formulated for dry skin and has Peony and Blue Lotus seeds that instantly smooth wrinkles by helping skin to relax. Since I don't really have any wrinkles yet I have a hard time seeing any results from products like this, but I hope that they'll help me to NOT get wrinkles in the future, lol. This stuff smells really good, but I couldn't really tell if it relaxed my skin. It retails for $47.

Finally I tried out Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse which is a multi-usage dry oil that nourishes, repairs, and softens skin and hair. You can use it pretty much anywhere you choose, but I opted to just try it on my hand because I don't like oily products on my face and my hair was already dry. It was actually really fragrant and I wound up rubbing a tiny bit in my hands and running them through my hair. This retails for $29.

Last but not least I tried out the samples that were sent to me by Everyday Minerals. I have had very little experience with the mineral makeups and quite frankly made a mess. Not having a container to pour these out in made it difficult...When I picked out my samples I was told I had a neutral undertone and colors were matched to me for the most part. I was very confused as to what I put first, second, etc. since no directions were sent.

So I was sent two semi matte bases in ivory and fair. Both of these are good for people with a little redness in their face and for freckles. The other colors that (I assume went over the base) are sunny and polished, I was also sent a yellow primer, lanai in the sand bronzer, and a finishing dust.

I just kind of guessed at what to do...I didn't really like this makeup, but that could be because I had no instructions whatsoever. My face is a little dry for it too and it kind of accentuated my dry areas.

*I was sent these samples in exchange for an honest review. I did NOT receive monetary compensation.
