Morning readers! Today is another day of trying out a few baby samples and giving you my impression of them!

This review actually started last night because I dyed my hair with the Garnier Color Sensation that I got free from a Crowdtap mission.

It's been a while since I've colored my hair and I was glad to get rid of my mousy brown. Crowdtap sent me the 3.26 Deep Burgundy color, which is really rich. It is dark, almost black inside but the red highlights really come out in the sun.  The instructions were pretty straight forward for anyone who has ever dyed their hair at home: pour container B into contain A, etc.

The smell of the dye was not the terrible ammonia smell of yesteryear. While there was a slight slight chemical smell, it was overall pleasant. My mother even said it smelled good, like shampoo, while I was walking around the house. The great thing about his color is that you can use it for all over color or they give you a brush if you just want to touch up roots or grays. It also contains oils to keep your hair silky and smooth.

After dying your hair it is not a good idea to shampoo your hair right after because it can cause the color to fade quicker. You do want to condition, however, (normally with the conditioner that comes with your dye) because it helps to protect your hair after the dye has opened up your hair cuticle.

This morning I used samples of Lasio Professional Hair Care's Hypersilk Replenishing Shampoo & Conditioner and Revitalizing Masque. I was told by Lasio that a one time use would not provide any real effects, but would give an idea of what the product is capable of doing. It is recommended to use this product for 30 days to see full results.

After just one use my hair was very soft and silky. Normally my hair gets dry the day after dying it, but these products seem to have stopped that from happening today.

The shampoo and conditioner both retail for $60 and the masque runs $32.  After 30 days of use you can expect to see boosted shine, softened strands, and a reduced amount of damage.

Next I tried a few products from NUXE Paris.

The Moisturizing Body Lotion is formulated for dry skin and it is infused with Orange Blossom and Almond Blossom petals. It has a powdery smell and a non-greasy finish. My skin feels powder smooth and smells very clean. The lotion is supposed to offer 24 hours of moisture and it retails for $22.

Next I used the First Wrinkle Rich Smoothing Cream. Again this is formulated for dry skin and has Peony and Blue Lotus seeds that instantly smooth wrinkles by helping skin to relax. Since I don't really have any wrinkles yet I have a hard time seeing any results from products like this, but I hope that they'll help me to NOT get wrinkles in the future, lol. This stuff smells really good, but I couldn't really tell if it relaxed my skin. It retails for $47.

Finally I tried out Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse which is a multi-usage dry oil that nourishes, repairs, and softens skin and hair. You can use it pretty much anywhere you choose, but I opted to just try it on my hand because I don't like oily products on my face and my hair was already dry. It was actually really fragrant and I wound up rubbing a tiny bit in my hands and running them through my hair. This retails for $29.

Last but not least I tried out the samples that were sent to me by Everyday Minerals. I have had very little experience with the mineral makeups and quite frankly made a mess. Not having a container to pour these out in made it difficult...When I picked out my samples I was told I had a neutral undertone and colors were matched to me for the most part. I was very confused as to what I put first, second, etc. since no directions were sent.

So I was sent two semi matte bases in ivory and fair. Both of these are good for people with a little redness in their face and for freckles. The other colors that (I assume went over the base) are sunny and polished, I was also sent a yellow primer, lanai in the sand bronzer, and a finishing dust.

I just kind of guessed at what to do...I didn't really like this makeup, but that could be because I had no instructions whatsoever. My face is a little dry for it too and it kind of accentuated my dry areas.

*I was sent these samples in exchange for an honest review. I did NOT receive monetary compensation.
