Outlite Flashlights

Hello hello and thanks for stopping by! I've told you all before how much I love to review camping and hiking gear and I have THREE marvelous products to tell you about today!

Outlite reached out to me recently to review a few of their flashlights and I, of course, obliged. You can never have too many flashlights, am I right or am I right?

So without further adieu...

Outlite Flashlight LED Cree XML-T6 Lithium Tactical

Aren't they beautiful!? Each flashlight has 5 settings which are toggled with the heel button: 3 brightness levels (high, medium, low) and 2 flash modes (strobe and SOS) which can be seen in the video at the end of this post. But, I want to tell you about each one separately so keep on reading!

First up is the Outlite 878 LED Tactical Flashlight which offer a whopping 900 Lumen and is crazy bright! It contains a Cree XML-T6 LED bulb (actually they all do) which gives it the super brightness that you can see below. The flashlight is powered by 3 AAA batteries with are held in an included holder, but it will also run with a 18650 lithium battery which can be purchased separately.

The flashlight is made from aluminum and offers a portable and water resistant design as well as a no-slip grip. It was recommended that I do a test to see how long the batteries would last, but all batteries are different. The great thing about being able to run on a lithium-ion battery is that they are rechargeable though, so making that extra purchase is highly recommended, especially if you're going to be using the flashlight quite a bit.

This is a great product to have on hand and if you notice, it also has an attack head on there for a little added protection! It felt good in my hand and I actually like that it is a little fatter than other portable flashlights. I also appreciate that each light came with a wrist strap for all of us with butter fingers.

This flashlight has an impressive beam radius which works well for about 30 meters. It also offers a zoom feature which can be seen for over 300 meters! Sorry that I had to focus on the shed, but it was the furthest item in my yard to test on without disturbing the neighbors.

This model is on sale right now for $9.99 and you can find it here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S299C8W

The next model is the Outlite E6 LED Tactical Flashlight. Like the other flashlights it offers 5 light modes, a Cree XML-T6 LED bulb, and is also water resistant. Zoomed out this flashlight is about 700 Lumen and zoomed in it is about 900 Lumen. It can be powered by 3 AAA batteries or by a 18650 lithium-ion battery, which is included. It also comes with a handy dandy charger and a free key chain flashlight (which can be seen a little further down the post)!

Here you can see the flashlight in the "zoomed in" position as well as get a good look at that attack head. This model is a tad longer than the first, but is skinnier.

As you can see from the photos, the beam radius is a little larger, but not quite as bright. However, the brightness in the zoom position is quite a bit brighter.

The Keychain Flashlight is great for keeping on...you guessed it...your keys! It has come in handy for unlocking the door at night, especially when I forget to leave the flood lights on. It is also pretty bright, which you can see below.

This model is on sale right now for $13.99 and can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VZTJVE6

Last but certainly not least is the Outlite 501B Tactical Flashlight, which is the smallest of the three. It is the same length as the 878, but far skinnier. Unlike the other two models, it can only be run by a 18650 lithium-ion battery, but the set comes with two batteries and a charger. I wound up putting the extra battery in the 878 model since that one does not come with one.

This flashlight offers the same Cree XML-T6 LED bulb with an attack head and a non-slip grip. This model puts out a surprising amount of light for such a small flashlight and offers the same 5 light modes as the others (don't forget to view the video below).

This model of flashlight does not come with the spiffy zoom setting, but with such a large 900 Lumen light radius, it isn't needed. It is on sale for $17.99 and can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VCS0BEY

Here's the video of the 5 light modes that each model offers. This video was created using the Outlite 878 LED Flashlight. For some reason YouTube likes to automatically choose the viewing quality, so if the video looks blurry click on the gears and change to 720 or 1080.

All three of these flashlights are a bargain at their current sale price and I can't say that one is better than the other. It really just depends on your preference and needs. They make great gifts and they were quickly snatched up and claimed by my family.
