Salonpas - Pain Relief Products

I've been blogging for about a little over month now and I'm really enjoying getting to try out new products and tell my readers about them. But, I think one of my favorite things about having a blog is that I can get products that not only help me, but help my family. My dad has a knee that bothers him daily and my mom just had neck surgery, so this next product was a God send!

Salonpas offers a huge variety of products to help ease pain with patches, gels, and sprays. This is a safer alternative to over the counter pills which can do more harm than good and can even cause liver failure or heart damage if used incorrectly.

Salonpas are manufactured by Hisamitsu America and they manufacture the only OTC pain patch that is FDA approved and clinically proven. There are many sizes and options of the patch to meet any specific needs you may have.

Hisamitsu America was founded in 1847 and has specialized in topical drug delivery technology since they introduced their line of Salonpas patches in 1934. They now sell their products in over 50 countries and provide solutions for everyday aches and pains.

The newest product to be introduced to the market is the Salonpas Pain Relieving Patch. It has more medicine, is peel resistant, and is now in a larger size. This patch is perfect for necks, shoulder, backs, and other joint areas. It provides 8 solid hours of pain relief and retails for $10.99 at leading retailers nationwide. These patches have three active ingredients to help with the pains and are so easy to apply.

Another great product is the Salonpas Pain Relieving Gel Patch. This patch goes on cool thanks to menthol then the Capsaicin gently warms to sooth the area. This is a larger patch so it is great for the upper and lower back as well as the shoulders. It is stretchable so you don't have to worry about it peeling or coming off. My dad actually put this on his knee before work and it was still warm after he got home.

And if you're looking for a larger patch that doesn't heat up quite as much, you can always try the Salonpas Pain Relief Patch with menthol and methyl salicylate. These are great for sore muscles, sprains, aches, and joint pain. Like the other patches, they are flexible and offer up to 12 hours of relief. These patches work best on mild to moderate pain relief associated with arthritis, sprains, strains, bruises, and simple aches and pains. The menthol and methyl salicylate are powerful pain fighting ingredients that will have you feeling better in no time.

If you aren't into the patches, Salonpas also offers a Deep Relieving Gel that can be applied to any area that pains you. The three active ingredients, camphor, menthol, and methyl salicylate penetrate deep into your skin. This get has a slight warming sensation and it is advised that you wash your hands thoroughly after applying it. The gel is clear and absorbs quickly so no worries of it rubbing off on your clothes. And like the patches, it still offers you 8 hours of pain relief.

And for those of you looking for more of a cooling sensation, Salonpas Jet Spray is just what the doctor ordered. The spray gives rapid relief to muscles and joins and can easily be applied to any area. It absorbs quickly and has two active ingredients for pain relief, menthol and methylsalicylate, that work for up to 8 hours. Out of all of the other products that we've been testing, this is the one that has the least menthol smell and the one that has been working wonders on my mom's neck.
